Toughened glass, otherwise known as tempered glass or safety glass shatters into granular chunks instead of jagged shards if it breaks. It can withstand high temperatures eg behind a hob. Most of our applications are made with toughened glass.
You can choose from the entire Plascon or Dulux range, or we can colour match for you. There is also the option of metallic or even a vinyl design using high resolution prints of any image as a wall feature.
Measurements are taken very accurately using laser technology. We do cut-outs for electrical sockets or holes behind range hoods. They are installed with non-acidic silicone.
Glass splashbacks are easy to clean, hygienic and do not absorb odours like other materials such as tile or grout. In addition, they are non-porous which means that they prevent stains, bacteria and mold.
Lead time on frameless showers is approximately 12 – 14 working days.
Bevelled edges provide a frame of 25mm around the mirror. Plain polished mirrors have a clean 2mm bevel around the mirror.
This is a handcrafted mirror done with an antique finish which comes in various colours – silver, blue, gold, bronze, turquoise, pink, copper and brown.
When 2 or more pieces of glass are bonded together using a UV-curable adhesive material. The adhesive material is applied to the edges to be bonded & while being pressed together, the bond is cured or hardened by exposing it to UV light. It provides an invisible, strong bond between glass pieces.
